We could have just bought software to do this. We chose to build our own instead. Here’s the honest reasoning, because it says a lot about how we work.
The “all-in-one” tools weren’t built for you — or for bathrooms
There are well-known platforms contractors use to manage clients: Houzz Pro and Buildertrend are two of the biggest. They’re capable tools, and plenty of good companies use them. But they share a few traits that didn’t sit right with us.
They’re built for the contractor, not the homeowner. These platforms are designed first as business-management systems — lead tracking, marketing, internal scheduling — with a client portal added on. The homeowner experience is a feature, not the point. We wanted the opposite: a tool designed first and foremost around your experience as the client.
They’re general-purpose. They’re made to handle everything from a 200-unit home builder to a commercial general contractor to a deck company. That breadth is exactly the problem. A platform that has to work for every kind of construction can’t be shaped around the specific rhythm of a bathroom renovation — the demo, the waterproofing, the tile, the glass, the fixtures, the finishing selections that make or break the result.
They’re expensive, and you’d be paying for it. Independent 2026 pricing puts Houzz Pro’s higher tiers in the range of a few hundred dollars a month, and Buildertrend’s plans commonly run from roughly $499 to over $1,000 per month and the prices are climbing. With larger contractors quoted higher under its newer volume-based pricing. Buildertrend itself is widely described as best suited to large custom-home builders doing millions in annual volume with dedicated office staff to run it — not a focused, craft-driven bathroom specialist. That overhead always finds its way into pricing. We’d rather invest once in something we own than rent software forever and pass the cost to you.
So we’re building our own — for bathrooms, and only bathrooms

- A clear payment schedule with your deposit structure, taxes, and milestone draws laid out like a clean invoice — nothing hidden.
- A warranty that lives with your account. Once your project is complete, your warranty will activate and stay accessible. Log in years later and it’ll be right there, along with a record of exactly what went into your bathroom.
- Direct messaging with our team at every stage — before we start, while we’re working, and long after we’ve finished.
This won’t be a generic dashboard with your name on it. It’s a tool being built for one purpose: to make renovating your bathroom with us calm, transparent, and genuinely premium from the first message to the final walkthrough.
